Nis
Nis (serb. Ниш / Niš, LAC. Naissus) – the third-largest city in Serbia, the river Niszawą, about 240 thousand. residents. Place of Emperor Claudius II victory over Ostrogotami in 269, and the birth of emperors Constantine I the Great and Justyna I. In 1443 the place was a battle between Hungary dowodzonymi by John Hunyadyego under the command of a Turkish sultan Murada II, complete failure of the Turks. During World War II in the vicinity of the town was a concentration camp Crveni Krst.
In town, there is a railway station Nis.
